Installing an Ebony Endwedge | Router Template Method | Guitar #119

In this episode of DIY Guitar Making, I am cannibalizing an old Goya headplate to make an endwedge.

Then I demonstrate the router template method of cutting the pocket for endwedge installation.

Some tips for workshop jigs, and for executing fine, fiber tearout repairs on a western red cedar top are included.

I talk about the various tools I use for neck carving, how to blend the aesthetic elements at the cutaway (for example, the heelcap, the fretboard binding etc..), and ultimately how to attach the neck to the body.
